Helping Hands


In the month following the earthquake more than 6,000 patients were treated at the 70-bed Adventist hospital in Haiti. To help meet the demand for treatment, Loma Linda University sent hundreds of medical personnel to the hospital. “The doctors we worked with from Loma Linda were awesome,” says Gustavo, a nurse from the Dominican Republic. “They worked long hours and got their hands dirty to do whatever it took to help people.
